Cal. 1570 automatic movement, 26 jewels, champagne brushed dial with the polychrome enamel UAE "Desert Hawk" symbol, applied baton numerals, sweep centre seconds, magnified window for date, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, screw back, screw down crown, stainless steel Rolex Oyster bracelet, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

The present ref. 1500 was supplied to the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Defence, distinguished by the personalised dial with the UAE crest above 6 o'clock. Of particular interest is the "Quraysh Hawk", printed in different 'padded layers', creating a tri-dimensional effect. At the centre of the hawk, symbol of the United Arab Emirates, is a polychrome enameled Dhow or Arabian sailboat, which is replaced today by the U.A.E. federation flag.
