Cal. 13 ZN mechanical movement, pink dial, Arabic numerals, outer Arabic five minute track, outermost pulsometer scales, two subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minutes register, blued steel feuille hands, circular water proof case, screw down case back, two round chronograph buttons in the band, case, dial and movement signed, dial furthermore signed by the retailer

Specialist note

According to the Archives of Longines, the present watch was invoiced to the company's agent Cuervo & Sobrinos in Cuba on 25 August 1948.

Sold by Longines' prestigious Cuban retailer Cuervo y Sobrinos, this elegant timepiece is believed to be the only example of a reference 5415 with pink dial and pulsometer scale to appear in public to date.


Cuervo y Sobrinos
In 1882, Armando Rio y Cuervo and his brothers ran a watchmaking workshop founded by their uncle Ramon in Havana, Cuba, hence the name "y Sobrinos": "and Nephews", retailing watches of the world's most prestigious watchmakers. In the 1940s, when Havana became the meeting point for intellectuals and artists from all over the world, Cuervo y Sobrinos produced their own watches while continuing to sell watches of other famous manufacturers. Einstein, Caruso, Churchill, Hemingway, Gable and Neruda were amongst the renowned firm's faithful clients.
