Cal. 12.68Z mechanical movement, patented micrometric regulator, black dial, Arabic numerals, luminous hands, outer ring calibrated for 60 minutes register with red central hand, subsidiary seconds, circular case, engraved chronograph scale to the revolving recessed bezel, snap on back, large ball-form crown, downturned lugs, fly-back chronograph mechanism operated through a round button in the band, case, dial and movement signed
47.5 mm. diam.

Specialist note

According to the Archives of Longines the present watch was invoiced to the Nederlandsche Horlogehendel in Amsterdam, Holland, on 8 July 1947.

The present watch is preserved in superb condition considering its age and its military purposes. The watch still retains its original ball-shaped crown, designed to allow the winding with aviator's gloves.
This chronograph is a fine and rare example of a stainless steel Longines "stop seconde" pilot's wristwatch. The combination of the unusual and legendary calibre 12.68 Z movement, the exceptionally beautiful original black dial and the excellent overall condition of the case render this watch exceedingly rare.
