Rolex. A fine and rare stainless steel and pink gold automatic sweep seconds bubble back wristwatch with pink California dial, hooded lugs and bracelet
Lot 122 The following two lots, 122 and 123, are fine examples of Rolex celebrated "bubble back" models. Launched in 1933, it was one of the first automatic wristwatches, its name derived from the prominently domed case back adapted to the size of the movement. The bubble back models were available in steel and gold and combinations of the materials, with a variety of dial styles, case designs and sizes.

Lots 122 and 123 are further distinguished by their "California" dials, combining Arabic, Roman and baton numerals, highly popular in today's market.
