Decorated overall with river landscape scenes, the canted angles with gilt-scrolling foliage, the interior fitted with a mirror and a blue and white Chinese cup and saucer and three associated French blue and white earthware containers; together with a Chinese lacquer sewing-box, probably first half 19th century, and a Japanese lacquer cased hand-mirror cast with cranes in a river landscape, Meiji period (late 19th/early 20th century)
