Set in a stained wood architectural frame applied with plaster column capitals
the plaster 41 x 37 ½ in. (104 x 95.5 cm.); the frame 66 x 58 in. (168 x 148 cm.)

Specialist note

The plaster comes from a Marseilles family who have always understood it is made by Auguste-Henri Carli, (1868-1930).
The subject is one of the panels executed by Della Robbia for the Cantoria or 'Singing Gallery' for the Florence Duomo 1431-1438.
