(Probably) John FitzMaurice, Viscount Kirkwall (1778-1820).
Thomas John Hamilton FitzMaurice, 5th Earl of Orkney (1803-1877) by whom gifted in June 1875 to
Samuel Leopold Schuster (1830-1884), husband of Lady Isabella Emma Elizabeth FitzMaurice (1832-1906)
and by descent (according to an old label on the canvas relining).

Specialist note

The label on the reverse of this picture, detailing its provenance, is signed by Samuel Leo Schuster, the son of Leo Schuster (1791-1871), the renowned trader, banker and chairman of the London and Brighton Railway.
