William Callow, R.W.S. (Greenwich 1812-1908 Great Missenden)

Callow made numerous visits to Venice over a 52 year period between 1846 and 1906. His ability to capture the crisp light of Venice and his palette which was ideally suited to the subtle colours of Venice found great favour with the British public.
