This impressive view of Mount Snowdon in North Wales illustrates Percy's immeasurable talent for depicting monumental landscapes full of depth and atmosphere on a two-dimensional canvas. A related painting, painted in the same year and entitled In Snowdonia, is in Tate Britain.
