George, 2nd Earl Vane (1821-1884), second son of Charles William Vane, 1st Earl Vane and 3rd Marquess of Londonderry (1778-1854), by his second wife Frances Anne. George succeeded his father by special remainder as Earl Vane and later succeeded his elder half-brother as 5th Marquess of Londonderry on the latter’s death in 1872.
