Specialist note

Lady FitzRoy Somerset, née Lady Emily Wellesley-Pole, was the daughter of William Wellesley-Pole, Baron Maryborough and later 3rd Earl of Mornington and his wife Katherine Elizabeth, née Forbes (see lot 26). In 1814 she married Lotd FitzRoy Somerset, 1st Baron Raglan and they had two sons, Arthur William FitzRoy and Richard Henry FitzRoy Somerset, who later became 2nd Baron Raglan, and two daughters, Charlotte Caroline Elizabeth and Catherine Anne Emily Cecilia Somerset.
