Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1953 and its subsequent sale on 22 October 1956.

This watch stands out by its attractive, classic case design of rectangular shape but also impresses with its original well-preserved and unmolested condition. Its movement bears the mark "HOX", used for watches destined for the North American market.

To the best of our knowledge it is furthermore one of less than 10 examples of a reference 2554/1 in yellow gold to appear in public to date.
