Specialist note

An example of the rare so-called "big eye" Daytona variation, it is easy to understand where the nickname comes from: its subdials, oversized compared a normal Daytona model. It is mystifying how such a slight difference in the dial design can command such a great variation in the aesthetics of the watch. The overall visual impact of the dial is much more dramatic and the augmented size of the counters underlined by the pitch black background they are against.
In truly remarkable condition, the present lot is a rare opportunity for the navigated collector to own such an impressive and uncommon iteration of the famed Daytona Cosmograph.
