Specialist note
With Rolex original presentation box and outer packaging.
The present lot features a very charismatic color change to the subsidiary dials. Color changing accurs randomly in some watches because of chemical reactions of the paint with light, humidity and the metal dial. It may occur in the dial backround, in the registers or even, in Paul Newman dials, in the outer track.
Examples such as the present lot, where color changing is even and the rest of the dial is in very good condition, are very rare and in high demand on the market.
It is worth to mention that the chemical reactions that allow for this change to occur is sometimes still ongoing, bearing the potential for an even more intense and attractive color modification in the years to come.
