Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with laped hour markers in 1954 and its subsequent sale on 10 Novvember 1954. Furthermore delivered with Patek Philippe and Freccero fitted presentation box.

Fresh to the market this watch is an exceedingly rare specimen of this model, believed to be the only example of a last series reference 565 in stainless steel retailed by Freccero to appear in public to date. It is furthermore preserved in excellent overall condition, the rarity enhanced by the presence of the Patek Philippe - Freccero presentation box.

Reference 565, the first large water-resistant watch featuring a two-piece case with screw back and dust cover, was available with either subsidiary or sweep centre seconds. The timelessly modern design of reference 565 served as inspiration for the creation of the 2006 stainless steel inaugural reference 5565.
