Gilt-finished jewelled lever movement, large bimetallic compensation balance, two-tone pink dial, Arabic and baton numerals, outer railway five minute divisions, blued steel spade hands, subsidiary seconds, large helm-shaped case, setting and winding crown at 12, hinged back, set within the bevelled walnut stand, case numbered, dial signed by maker and retailer, movement signed

Specialist note

According to the Archives of Vacheron Constantin, the present display desk clock was encased and sold in 1940.

This desk clock is a rare example of a display timepiece by Vacheron Constantin, distinguished by its unusual shape resembling the helm of a ship, the attractive two-tone dial and the retailer signature Verga.
