Specialist note

Wang Yin believes that the ambiguous nature of a painting is not only rightful but completely intuitional. In order to deliberately connect his work to different courses in the history of art, he employs methods such as imitation, exaggeration , sarcasm , and mockery . Integrating his knowledge concerning modern Chinese oil paintings, Wang's works reflect upon the very definition of Chinese modern art history. By intentionally viewing this piece of history as contextual indication, characteristics of Socialist Realism in Wang's art are made tangible and comprehensible.
