lithograph, 1914, on smooth wove paper, signed in pencil, annotated Handdruck, a fine, richly inked impression of this very rare print, with wide margins, a vertical crease extending the length of the sheet, otherwise generally in good condition, framed

L. 381 x 279 mm., S. 441 x 330 mm.

With the artist's estate stamp of the Kunstmuseum Basel (L. 1570b), numbered ???, on the reverse.

Specialist note

We are grateful to Professor Dr. Günther Gercken, Lütjensee, Germany, for his assistance in cataloguing this lot. Professor Gercken is currently preparing the new catalogue raisonné of prints by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, the first volume of which has recently been published. Gercken has revised the dating of this print to 1911, instead of 1910 according to Dube.

He records five impressions of this print, including the present one.
