The present watch was donated by Pierce Brosnan to The Totts Ball in 1998, a charity auction held by the Children's Hospital in Dublin.
In the movie "Tomorrow Never Dies", Agent 007 is seen throughout the film wearing an Omega Seamaster. When sorting through Wai Lin's [Michelle Yeoh's] arsenal of weapons and equipment, Bond comes across the watch, and remarks, "This looks familiar" to which Wai Lin responds, "We've made some improvements". Later in the film, Bond uses the watch to detonate a bomb.
