Henry Scott Tuke, R.A., R.W.S. (1858-1929)

This is a late work of one of Tuke's longest serving models Charlie Mitchell (1885-1957), who frequently sat to the artist in this pose. The watercolour, which explores the subtle colours created by light reflected from water onto skin, probably dates from around 1923.
