woodcut, circa 1496, watermark Name of Jesus (M. 306, dated circa 1580), a very good, strong and even Meder a-b impression of the second state (of three), with the gap in the upper border (inked in), but before the wormholes and the gaps at left, trimmed to the borderline, a printer’s crease at lower left, in very good condition
