With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1951 and its subsequent sale on 18 April 1951.

The manufacture of reference 2430 was launched in 1948. The present watch has never been offered in public before and is one of only seven examples of this model in gold to appear at auction thus far. Its desirability is furthermore enhanced by its large size for the period and the unusual lugs.
