The present Rolex with its playful pink lacquered "stella" dial adorned with diamonds is without doubt a most appealing "Day-Date" watch. Such vibrant colours are much sought-after by collectors and to the best of our knowledge, it is the first time we see a pink lacquered dial offered at auction.

Lacquered dials of intense colours, such as this one, are known among collectors as "stella dial". Offered here in overall very good condition, this rare white gold watch is a very attractive and collectible 1970s example of a timepiece with this much-sought after dial.
