FIRST EDITION. Initially based on researches into the living conditions of the labouring poor of Barkham, the work was then extended to include labourers' budgets from many English counties, as well as a few from Wales and Scotland. It was well-received, and followed by an abbreviated version in 1828. Goldsmiths' 16422; Kress B.2916.
