Mechanical movement, 17 jewels, silvered dial, raised baton and Arabic numerals, outer fifths of a second and Arabic five minute divisions, blue telemetre and black tachymetre scales, circular case, hidden circular lugs set within an indentation on the back of the snap on case, stainless steel Rolex buckle, case, dial and movement signed
31.5 mm. diam.

Specialist note

The present reference 3233 is in excellent overall condition, the engraved Rolex crown and the numbers on the back are still very crisp. Launched in 1938, reference 3233 is also known as "coin edge" and was available until 1941. This non-Oyster Chronograph reference is characterized by its two subsidiary dials and special case design with the lugs being hidden within an indentation on the back.
