Cal. 492 mechanical movement, 19 jewels, two-tone silvered dial, applied gold dart and Roman numerals, outer seconds divisions, telemeter and tachymeter scales, two engine-turned subsidiary dials for constant seconds and 30 minutes register, circular case, snap on back, two rectangular chronograph buttons in the band, 18K gold Vacheron Constantin deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed

Specialist note

With Vacheron Constantin certificate of authenticity dated 30 June 2010 and stating that the present watch, a reference 4072, was manufactured in 1949. Furthermore delivered with a black travelling pouch.

Reference 4072, one of Vacheron Constantin's most popular chronograph models, was in production from 1938 until the early 1970s. It existed with oval-shaped chronograph buttons or with the better known rectangular version, the bezel was either bevelled or flat.
