Specialist note

The arms are those of Portman quartering Berkeley and impaling those of Hulse, for Edward Berkeley Portman (1771-1823) of Bryanston House, Dorset and Orchard Portman, Somerset. He married secondly, in 1816 Mary, eldest daughter of Sir Edward Hulse, baronet
