with the owners collection stamp, inventory number '727' and date '1930' (on the reverse)

Specialist note

Although an attribution for this work has yet to be established, this panel can be placed in the Brussels School. The treatment of the folds of the drapery in particular shows stylistic affinities with works by Jan van Coninxloo and Bernard van Orley.
