A TERRACOTTA FIGURE OF NAPOLEON BONAPARTE
19TH CENTURY
Standing with arms crossed, traces of paint, on integral base
14 in. (36 cm.) high

Note du spécialiste

This figure whilst having the moustache and beard of Napoleon III is in the uniform and typical pose of Napoleon Bonaparte. The unknown naive artist who made it might therefore have made a mistake adding the facial hair to the figure.
