A teapot and coffeepot of identical form marked by Rasch are part of a set presented in 1818 to the daughter of Captain John Blakely, U.S.N. Blakely was lost at sea during a victorious battle against British warships in 1814. The matching tea service is illustrated in David B. Warren, Marks of Achievement, 1987, fig. 134, p.112.
