(Several leaves with paper flaws, not affecting text.) Contemporary vellum with ties. Provenance: acquired from E.P. Goldschmidt, 1964.
FIRST EDITION. The majority of the clear woodcuts are oval in shape and deal with animals and plants. According to Landwehr, this is "the first emblematic item to deal with flora and fauna." Landwehr, Romanic 203; Praz, 35.
