CHURCHILL SELLS A JERSEY COW, with the distinguished name of "Chartwell Bountiful." The animal's birth (24 December 1953) and sale are recorded here. In December 1955 Churchill sold the animal to Noel W. Purvis and signed this "Certificate of Registration of Cow" in February 1956. In the accompanying cover note Churchill's secretary, Gillian Maturin, writes that Churchill has signed the transfer certificate and that he "was interested to hear about the calf."
