Specialist note
'[Domoto] always paints on his knees, his canvas resting on the ground, like the classical artists from his country. But with oil, he has discovered a new world of colours. He superimposes them, obtaining transparencies for which they were not intended, and combines them in passages which he uses to suggest a space liberated from the usual constraints of canvas and viewpoint.'
F. Choay, France Observateur, 1957.
