The scrolled padded arms above a serpentine seat with fluted front rail centred by a rosette, on fluted and reeded square cabriole legs, stamped to the back rail 'WC'

Specialist note

The distinctive reeded cabriole leg corresponds with a ladderback chair in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum and illustrated in Ralph Edwards, English Chairs, London, 1965, fig. 92.
