Of rectangular form with pointed arches enclosing a hexagonal honey comb, each containing furhter hexagonals surrounding a six-pointed star, spandrels with interlocking hexagonal honeycombe, set inside a stepped-diamond border
One 48¾ in. (124 cm.) high; 40¼ in. (102 cm.) wide; the other 49¼ in. (125 cm.) high; 40¾ in. (103.5 cm.) wide (2)

Specialist note

A pierced sandstone screen with a very similar geometric border dated to the reign of the Mughal Emperor Akbar (r.1556-1605), is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (inv. 1993.67.2).
