John Minshull, of Minshull, near Nantwich, Cheshire, married Frances, daughter of Sir John Egerton (1551-1614), of Egerton and Oulton. Their sole surviving daughter and heir, Elizabeth (d. 1661), married Thomas Cholmondeley of Vale Royal (1595-1653), Cheshire; and their great-great-grandson, Thomas Cholmondeley of Vale Royal (1767-1855), was created 1st Baron Delamere in 1821.
