With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with raised gold indices in 1953 and its subsequent sale on 25 January 1954.
The present watch impresses by its original overall condition and rare retailer's signature. Moreover, it is the only reference 2450 known to carry it. A simple yet stylish watch, it is suitable for everyday wear. The signature Trucchi belongs to the Italian retailer Trucchi, a long-term Patek Philippe retailer. The firm was established in Naples in 1907.
Reference 2450 with its two-body case was launched in 1948 and produced in two series. The first series was equipped with calibre 12-120. The second series, including the present watch, was fitted with calibre 12-400.
As the bezel and main body of the case are made as one, this Calatrava reference is also known as "monobloc".
