Cal. 177 mechanical movement, 117 jewels, inclined multi-spherical tourbillon visible through an aperture, ruthenium rhodium-plated dial, time display with Arabic numerals on a polished chapter ring and solar minute hand, two retrograde hands for date display beneath a frosted crystal, one retrograde hand for month at 8 o'clock with associated retrograde hand on the movement for leap year indicator, 8-day power reserve indicator at the 4 o'clock, engraved sapphire crystal display back secured by four screws, platinum Jaeger-LeCoultre deployant clasp, case, dial and movement signed

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Gyrotourbillon 1 is the world's first spherical tourbillon. Production began in 2004-2005, with only about 20 pieces being produced each year. A traditional tourbillon will rotate on one axis, while the Gyrotourbillon 1 rotates on two axes.

With the addition of an 8-Day power reserve, equation of time, and retrograde perpetual calendar, this highly complicated watch is truly a feat of mechanical engineering.
