With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1956 and its subsequent sale on June 7, 1961.
Reference 1463, the only vintage Patek Philippe chronograph model with screw back case and round pushers, is without question one of the celebrated manufacturer's most iconic and noble sports watches. Reference 1463 was launched in 1940 and remained in production until 1965, the majority cased in yellow gold.
The present watch is extremely well preserved and is a very attractive example of the famed reference 1463 in pink gold. The case is full and retains its original case proportions to the best extent, highlighted by the close to mint hallmarks. The hard enamel signature and scales are beautifully raised, harmonizing with the applied pink gold numerals.
Very few examples have survived with such quality as the present reference 1463 and this watch will without any doubts interest many discerning collectors.
