Fondée en 1837 à la légendaire adresse du 24, faubourg Saint Honoré, la maison Hermès acquiert rapidement une très grande réputation dans la sellerie. Vers la fin des années 1920, la maison étend son savoir-faire aux bracelets de montres et inaugure ses premiers articles d'horlogerie. La maison fait appel à de prestigieuses manufactures telles que Jaeger ou Vacheron & Constantin pour fabriquer principalement des montres mécaniques de sport ou des pendules. Founded in 1837 at the legendary 24, Faubourg Saint Honoré, Hermès quickly established a strong reputation in manufacturing saddles, harnesses and bridles. In the late 20's, the company broadened its knowledge to watch straps and launched its very first clocks.
