With fullered spear-point blade etched on each side with foliage and battle honours including Crimean engagements, and on one side with a crowned monogram and crowned regimental badge, and on the other side with a 'VR' cypher, nickel-plated steel 'Gothic' hilt pierced with the regimental badge, original wire-bound black-rayskin-covered grip, and silver sword-knot, in original nickel-plated scabbard
32½in. (82.5cm.) blade

Richard Milner Ltd. (Arms Research) have kindly confirmed that sword no. 144111, a 'Straight Regulation Dress Grenadier Guards Sword with Plated Hilt', was sold by Henry Wilkinson & Son on 20th November 1865 to Lord Lascelles, presumably either Henry Lascelles, 4th Earl of Harewood (1824-1895), or his son Henry Lascelles, 5th Earl of Harewood (1846-1929), when styled Viscount Harewood.
