Presented to H.R.H. The Princess Mary, Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood (1897-1965) by the municipality of Nicosia, March 1938, and by descent at Harewood House, Yorkshire.

Specialist note

H.R.H. The Princess Mary, Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood (1897-1965) and her husband, Henry Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood (1882-1947) visited Cyprus on an official tour in February-March 1938. The present lot was designed to commemorate this visit.
