The rider seated astride a piebald horse, he wearing a blue jacket, yellow breeches and brown boots, his companion riding pillion behind him, in a spotted dress with a blue underskirt and a yellow straw hat, the green-washed, rectangular stepped base moulded with a stiff-leaf border and sponged in yellow, green and brown (restoration to base, all four legs, one ear of horse, rider's legs and companion's head, hand and hat)
8½ in. (21.5 cm.) high
