Oviform, named for E.LENITIVVM on a scrolling ribbon above the date 1668, surmounted by a winged angel's head and with fluttering pennants below (minor chipping to rim)

Specialist note

The label refers to electuarium lenitivum, an electuary having a mild purgative action and made from senna, tamarind pulp, polypody rhizome, liquorice and other ingredients.
