Specialist note

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with silvered dial, raised hour markers in gold and tachymetre scale in 1946 and its subsequent sale on 20 November 1947.

To the best of our knowledge the present watch has never been offered at auction before.

Reference 533 was introduced to the market in 1937 and is distinguished by the elegant look of its Calatrava case with the typical flat bezel. This model was in production until 1956.

The model is illustrated in Patek Philippe Wristwatches by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, second edition, p. 264.
