With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with champagne dial and Roman gold indexes in 1997 and its subsequent sale on 29 August 1997.

To the best of our knowledge the present piece has never been offered in public before.

The Pagoda model was made in 1997 to commemorate the inauguration of Patek Philippe's new watchmaking centre in Geneva.

The gentleman's model with reference 5500 was produced in a limited edition of 1100 examples in 18K yellow gold, 500 in 18K pink gold, 250 in 18K white gold and 150 in platinum.
