Note du spécialiste

This painting compares very closely in composition to a portrait recorded by Mortari under 'Ritratti dubitativamente o erroneamente attribuiti a Francesco Salviati' (L. Mortari, Francesco Salviati, Rome, 1992, p. 153, no. 138).
