Each of baluster form, one finely painted with a single beauty in a garden plucking petals from a rose, inscribed on the base as being after the original by Von Ottor, the other with a bust-length portrait of two maidens, one wearing a peacock headdress, her companion wearing garlands of flowers, both reserved within gilt oval surrounds, the neck, body, conforming socle and base enriched with gilt foliate motifs including turquoise 'jewels' in the Art Nouveau taste
