Specialist note

James Prestini studied mechanical engineering at Yale, and then continued his studies at the Institute for Design in Chicago. Fascinated by the Bauhaus philosophy of Arts and Crafts and influenced by his friend Mies van de Rohe, he embraced the knowledge of 'less is more'. With his clean and simple lines he wonderfully exemplifies the Modernism of the mid-20th Century.
