with engraved initials I K B, accessories include: tin opened, balde, saw, hook, spike, drill, corkscrew, metal toothpick and tweezers; in later cloth pouch with inscription EX PROPERTY OF THE ESTATE OF BRUNEL FAMILY 1908.

Specialist note

The intials bear a strong similarity to the inscription on an ivory folding rule engraved I K Brunel sold as part of a single collection of Papers and Memorabilia relating to Isambard Kingdom Brunel, by these sale rooms, 29 November 1996 (lot 82).
